Development History
The duckling sex identification machine is an application of deep learning in poultry sexing technology based on big data. It integrates image recognition, optical sensing, mechanical automation, data analysis, and information systems into one intelligent device. It was initially developed to address the urgent industry need for duckling sexing, characterized by a significant shortage of personnel, high labor costs, difficulty in training skilled workers, and high employee turnover. The machine now supports accurate identification of breeds such as cherry valley duck and Peking duck. Moreover, it is a globally pioneering product that fills a gap in the industry. The duckling sexing device uses an industrial camera to photograph the duckling's vent, and an artificial intelligence algorithm determines the sex of the duckling. The entire process takes less than three seconds.
Operating Instructions
The operator should expose vent of a duckling and places it in the detection area. The sensor automatically senses and photographs the duckling without any contact. After the algorithm in machine finishes identifying sex, the operator can simply release the duckling. The device will automatically transfer the duckling and sort males and females.
